The doctor suggested that Barbapapa was lonely and in need of a Barbamama.

So Barbapapa, along with his friends Francois and Cindy, set out in search of a very hard to find Barbamama to fill Barbapapa’s void. They attached Barbapapa’s entire house to a wheeled cart and began pedaling their bicycle built for two around the world.

They searched in many places, including London, India, and even outer-space, but to no avail. A Barbamama was not to be found. But their wild goose chase was not for nought, because Barbapapa, thanks to his shape shifting abilities, managed to save many people from certain doom during their travels.

Barbapapa returned home only to find that a Barbamama had been growing in his very own garden the entire time! They fell in love at once, and started the task of planting a Barbafamily almost immediately.

After several weeks of waiting, seven Barbababies sprung from the earth in a rainbow of colors.

One of the Barbababies even had long black hair - which was considered to be extremely lucky. Barbapapa was delighted with his new grown family.
